Dr. Elizabeth Kemigisha, MD, MMED-Ped, PhD is our SRF Organization Ambassador/Co-Director, CRT (Resource mobilization).
In this Honorary Position, She serves as the official face and voice of SRF-RTC in external engagements, acting as a bridge between the organization and its stakeholders. The role is to promote SRF-RTC’s mission, advocate for locally driven evidence-based solutions, foster partnerships, mobilize resources, and inspire the next generation of researchers. She is a paediatrician, epidemiologist, and a postdoctoral research scientist at the African Population and Health Research Center in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD in Social and Health Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium, and has 16 years of experience in clinical trials, epidemiological surveys, and multidisciplinary research. Her work spans infectious and non-communicable disease epidemiology, adolescent and child health, health systems strengthening, and program evaluation. Dr. Kemigisha has coordinated several notable trials, including studies on sexuality education, cerebral malaria, adolescent maternal health, and HIV prevention interventions.
